Update: This carrier has its limitations. When I recently tried it on a 16 lb cat, the handle fell off as soon as I picked it up. With that in mind, I think I'll be careful transporting my other larger cats. Of course, one cannot expect unlimited weight from a box. Previous Review: I was pleasantly surprised by these case holders. Thought I might hazard ordering these as I have a couple of large cats but they are roomier than I expected. One of my 14 pound cats is taking a nap in one of the carriers. None of my cats (14/15 lbs) have had trouble turning over in a crate. Obviously the box isn't for long trips and I have no doubt my cats could start in one of the air ducts and quickly rip the box to shreds, but for short trips to the vet or taking the cat out of the house. and in a safe place in case of an emergency they would be great. I can think of a use for non-cat/animal boxes too. A warning: do not attempt to lift the cat box unless the lid is fully secured. I tried without attaching the side panels and tore the handle. But once I had the side flaps in place I was able to lift my 15 pound cat with ease despite a hole in the handle. In fact, it was much more comfortable to wear than a traditional wear.
