Living in Florida, I survived the hurricane and its aftermath and am trying to be better prepared next time. The biggest draws to this radio for me were the emergency call stations, lights, solar charging and the ability to start manually. After reading the manual scrolling guide I'm not sure how useful it will be as you have to crank for a long time to get at least a ring charge. But hey, who knows how much I'll be willing to twist in an emergency to get power? At least I like being able to. This is a beautiful radio that has all the features you could want. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but that's not a real disadvantage.
