I have a 2019 model 16" MacBook Pro and bought this product for 25.99 at the time because of the built in 720p webcam. I bought the webcam specifically for late night video calls where the built-in camera is particularly terrible. No, this product won't blow you away as it does relatively well in good light. But it definitely outperforms the built-in camera when capturing video in low light/night conditions, where it has an excellent one offers noise reduction and sharpness. However, a noticeable red cast is added to skin tones and images may appear darker overall. Any family looking for a webcam for video calling should note that this camera has a significantly wider viewing angle than most built-in laptops. Webcams, which is good I liked the inclusion of a camera mount.
