What I didn't notice when ordering is that the cups along the front spout are CAST sizes, not enamel! That means even if the enamel-made side measurements erase in the wash, you'll have something you can depend on for a very long time. Unlike ALL glass mixing cups that will eventually lose their base and become unusable that I've bought over the years! I've never broken one, but I've thrown out at least 6 2-cup glass measures because I couldn't use them anymore. However, I found I had to stick to the 1 cup measure in this set. because when you're pouring something like milk, you can knock it over if you hit the wrong corner. And while I'm washing them in the dishwasher, I *don't* brush them with bristles or anything rough because they can scratch them if you're not careful. I was glad I found them and bought them for only $16.95 - so set the hourly rate and grab a set - I think you'll be just as happy as I was.
