I wanted to love this rice cooker because of the price and the stainless steel insert. I no longer use non-stick cookware, so this was very important to me. First, what I like about it is less than a slow cooker. Very handy for storing and forgetting things. Automatically switches to keep warm mode after cooking. Makes delicious rice. What I hate about it: Can't start with less than 2 cups of uncooked rice. That's a lot of rice. Plus, it takes a while to cook compared to 15 minutes for a standard stovetop recipe. The worst thing: After just one use, you can see in the photo that the insole is already "stained", despite proper handling and exact compliance with the instructions. It's not something that sticks - I think it has to do with the quality of the steel. It just won't go away, even when soaked.
