I usually keep it in my key pocket. Pocket in the pocket on the right side of my jeans. I open and cut boxes quite a bit at work and often need to touch up my knife blade. It's as easy to sharpen a good knife as it is to swap out razor blades with this sharpener, it's cheaper and less waste. I believe this is a 600 grit sharpener, it will only fine tune a knife that is already in good condition. The same sharpening stone is also available with a coarser grit. I use 400 grit weekly to fix my knife and 600 grit daily during the work week to keep it sharp. The sharpener is very light, only a few millimeters thick, very pocket-friendly. Knife style on it, but I think even that could be done quickly and safely if you're careful and take your time.
