great product best hand tools

I was very impressed with the ability of such a small stone to hold even the largest of blades. It fits snugly in an extra pocket on my leather shaft, so I always have the option to re-sharpen my blades. Also, this stone is much quicker to use than regular wet stone.

Small but powerful for power tools

This is a VERY small sharpener. And that's a good thing, because it fits perfectly in the extra pocket on my Leatherman Wave and MUT bags. Retouches the blade only very briefly, requires some skill due to the size. I have used the sturdy plastic case that this sharpener came in as a protective case and it works great while still fitting in the small, thin spaces of my multi-tool cases. Conclusion: If necessary, I'll buy another one.

Thin, light, inexpensive and comfortable.

I usually keep it in my key pocket. Pocket in the pocket on the right side of my jeans. I open and cut boxes quite a bit at work and often need to touch up my knife blade. It's as easy to sharpen a good knife as it is to swap out razor blades with this sharpener, it's cheaper and less waste. I believe this is a 600 grit sharpener, it will only fine tune a knife that is already in good condition. The same sharpening stone is also available with a coarser grit.
