This cover will definitely protect your lightbar from the sun and keep it safe on the go. What I don't like is that it's a "project" to turn on and off! You should be able to reach the full length of the light bar to get this thing on and off, which means you'll probably need a ladder, like I did with the A-pillar bar. My concern is that dirt or sand will get into the soft liner and act as an abrasive pad on the lens and do more harm than good, I'll keep an eye on that. The lid is cheap, does what it is supposed to do and is quite well made. I have no doubt that it is much better suited to some light panels than others.
