Great knife, not for the inexperienced!

I'm a professionally trained chef who has been cooking only at home lately, and as I've gotten older I've really come to appreciate tools that do what they're designed to do and last a long time. This knife is very sharp, but it's not the key to slicing bread. The key is the closely spaced tines, which gently break up the crumbs and leave an even gap between the slices. This knife does its job very well and I have never used a knife that does it so well. As a chef, I also want the knife to feel comfortable in my hand, that the knife does the work, not me. Overall this knife is excellent and I gave it a 4 simply because more attention should be paid to its professional design. If you give this knife to someone who does not have a knife, they may cut themselves. Don't expose this to your guests with a loaf on the counter. He's amazingly sharp. A great product in my opinion from a knife manufacturer with the best value for money.
