No more oil leak to muffler

have a kohler 21hp that leaked oil to the muffler, i had to run the engine for about 5 minutes to burn off the oil that leaked out of the valve cover (smoky ) Kit Gaskets ( 2) Excellent offer. Apply Permatex Ultra Black to the valve cover. I applied a pad and left it overnight. Screwed tight, worked for more than half an hour. There are no leaks.
