I do my own vehicle maintenance and enjoy around the house DIY projects as well as woodworking. I find having a roll of this silicone tape handy excellent for sealing and making weatherproof/waterproof any low voltage electrical connections. I used this last over a barrel connector on an outdoors solar light. That eliminated any chance of corrosion from moisture getting into the connector which is at the top of a tall pole. A step in time saves nine up the ladder! This will also repair leaks and can stretch to 4 times its length. It isn't super sticky on surfaces or fingers but sticks to itself very well.This is 30 mils thick and has a plastic film to remove over one side. The tape sticks to itself and then fuses to itself. To undo it I would need to cut it off with a knife once it had aged a bit and fused.
