Review on Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Eyeglasses Instruments by Eugene Cox

This 3-minute cleanser is everything!

I have several pieces of jewelry, from bracelets to rings, and a few necklaces for a change. Although I change most of my jewelry depending on the occasion, I wear three rings, two bracelets and a necklace every day. The necklace is a sterling silver dragon holding an orb, a handmade amulet I received 23 years ago. And yes, during that time I wore this necklace almost constantly, so you can probably imagine the buildup of debris on it (note: I cleaned it with jewelry rags and gels, but it's a pain in the back of the body). Construction As others have mentioned in their reviews, the Magnasonic® Jewelry Cleaner (MJC for short) has a stainless steel bath that contains a cleaning liquid that cannot be removed. While some might see this as a downside, the device is relatively small and not that difficult to empty. Honestly, if this aspect of the design is such a major inconvenience, you need to stop being lazy and look at the fact that the MJC works well. In addition, the package includes a plastic basket for your jewelry. Cutlery/feathers etc plus a curved plastic platform that sits inside the aforementioned basket. As shown in the product images, this "hump" is designed to allow watches or other curved jewelry to rest properly in the cleaning liquid. This aspect of the design gives me one complaint: I wish there was a handle or some sort of tool that would make it easier to remove the bin when you're done with the cleaning cycle. The basket fits into the stainless steel tub and sits almost flush, and while the basket doesn't "get stuck," it would be nice if I didn't have to pull it out of the unit. Overall, the MJC is a compact unit that's easy to store away when not in use thanks to the cleaning basket and clock stand inside the vacuum. The jewelry cleaner also has two buttons on the edge of the lid (on and off each) and a blue indicator light will illuminate to let you know when the 3 minute cleaning cycle is complete. The device's transparent lid also lights up during cleaning, so you can watch your watch (hehe) while the MJC works its magic. But does it work? Yes! I confess that I was skeptical at first. After all, how can pure water clean my jewelry, glasses, and various other items that Magnasonic® claims this device will clean for you? Especially when you consider that apart from a few very small bubbles, not much happens when you watch the cleaning process through the plastic viewing hood. While not listed as necessary, I used distilled water in a cleaner along with four drops of Dawn dish soap. I also avoided splashing the water and let the soap dissolve in the liquid. The first thing I had to give up was my glasses. After three minutes of buzzing, I took them off, washed the soap residue off the lenses, and wiped them with a lint-free paper towel. Result? Dirt is floating in the water and the glasses are so clean you could swear I just got them from the store today! Next: this colorful bracelet, along with my favorite dragon necklace. I dropped the basket into the same liquid I used for the glasses, pressed the "on" button, and after three whizzing minutes, I took the basket out of the solution and dried the jewelry. Result? Shiny gems, refined gold and a very shiny silver dragon and orb. Not only did the gemstones on the bracelet look amazing, they appeared to be clean; Dirt and sebum disappeared along with fingerprints! The soapy water in the cleaner revealed everything that had been removed in just a three minute cleaning cycle: oils, dirt and even pet hair were floating in the solution. However, I never realized how gross jewelry can be when worn on a daily basis! If you're looking for a jewelry cleaner that doesn't require you to spend time wiping parts with a cloth or using dirty gel, Magnasonic® Jewelry Cleaner is a must. Each cleaning cycle takes only 3 minutes and the results of the cleaning process stay in the water. Of course, you'll have to tip the entire device over the sink to drain the liquid, but the MJC's handy size makes this a relatively easy task. Add to that the fact that you can store accessories inside the device and have an economical sonic cleaner that can be used on a variety of items including pen nibs, silverware, jewelry, waterproof watches and more. So sit back and let the rumors go, because your jewelry will be clean, shiny and as beautiful as the day you bought it!
