Review on 🍷 4.75 Gallon Fruit Wine Press: A Natural Apple, Grape, and Berries Crusher for Manual Juice Making in the Kitchen - Heavy Duty Cider Wine Maker with Solid Wood Basket and 8 Blocks by Kristin Barry

After some adjustments it works great!

Well made fruit chopper. However, you need to create some mods. Here's what I did (your results may vary): 1. As most reviews point out, to get a longer compression stroke, you need more wood blocks. I just cut out 8 raw 2X4 blocks and then drilled holes in the middle. The holes should be slightly larger than the Acme thread diameter. The less fruit you have in your press, the more blocks you need. 2 - I made a one piece circular breaker block that works better than a two piece block. It's a little hard to pull out again after crushing. Try lifting the whole crusher, tilting it slightly, and then lowering it back down - a round block of wood will pop out from above. Make a round block of wood 1/4 inch smaller in diameter than the press, then drill a hole right in the middle. Or just use the half-round rods from the kit. OSB for better stability I put one foot on this base to keep all the work from spinning (and spilling juice) while cranking the abs. However, they can be sewn. They work for me and if anyone has better mods go for it! I've made over 15 gallons of apple cider and grape juice this way, and that's not all!
