After years of frustration with standard screen designs that have legs or posts attached to the bottom, or worse, have legs or posts on the bottom and are coated with cheap imitation copper paint on the outside, the ends finally peeled off - I made me looking for something better. Here is the sieve! It comes with a bowl that fits perfectly. Very easy to clean - no dirt, germs and god knows what else lurking in the gaps between the bottom foot ring and the bowl. I mean seriously, have you ever looked closely at the underside of your filter where the ring attaches to the housing? Scrub as much as you want, it's almost impossible to get dirt out of the joint. There are no problems with this colander as it has no legs or ring at the bottom. Another great thing is that it really DRAINAGE - there are no areas without holes. You don't have to tilt it back and forth to try to pour out all the water. Conclusion - just buy it. You will not regret it.
