Great model and turns and plays music and the horses go up and down. A couple of pieces broke but there were spares. The method I found is that if you find any resistance to the parts fitting together then sand the male part and use finishing wax applied by a tiny paintbrush to both male and female parts. They then fit together with no problem and without the very real risk of them breaking if too much pressure is applied.Instructions were fairly clear but a couple of stages needed some additional reasoning to grasp how to proceed. I would have given the carousel 5 stars but for the fact that the 50 or so E1 parts, being tiny pegs for fitting two pieces together, were missing. The E parts board didn't even refer to E1, starting at E2 instead. Super glue came to the rescue and was probably easier, quicker and less risky to use than the missing pegs.
