Beautiful, but it is hard to keep it balanced

Some of the pieces break very easily, and it is hard to set the structure over the music box to make sure it will work whan you finish putting it together. I had to disassemble many parts to get it to turn decently for a while. When I put the horses' gears, they don't move up and down and the merry-go-round gets stuck. Also, the wax you get is not enough to wax all the parts you need to lubricate. I bought a candle and I dig wax out of it when I need some. I have not finished this project…

Patience and care required but end result is worth it.

Great model and turns and plays music and the horses go up and down. A couple of pieces broke but there were spares. The method I found is that if you find any resistance to the parts fitting together then sand the male part and use finishing wax applied by a tiny paintbrush to both male and female parts. They then fit together with no problem and without the very real risk of them breaking if too much pressure is applied.Instructions were fairly clear but a couple of stages needed some…

I enjoyed it in my review

I screwed up somewhat, but did make it work. I like puzzles powered by motors rather than rubber bands. The final product is cute and enjoyable.

So amazingly fun to assemble

Extremely fun (and frustrating at times in a couple areas) to assemble. Be cautious when assembling some of the little parts cause they will break somewhat easily. There are extra pieces of the really easy to break parts. It seems flimsy when initially assembling but once together is a solid little fun bit of puzzle building. End result isn't extremely smooth running (the wooden bits) bit the music box sound is smooth even if the wooden moving parts are a little jerky. Have ordered another one…

Instruction Failure

Great concept however the instructions dont give troubleshooting help. Had carousel half assembled and instructions tell you to check that it turns at this stage. We did and the carousel does Not turn. So what next? We can not figure out why it won't turn at this point. Have search their website and facebook page and there are no assembly questions or help listed. For the expense I expected more assembly help to be listed. Now I'm left with an upset teen and half assembled Non working carousel.
