Review on Upgrade Your Fuel System with HFP-341 255 LPH Performance Fuel Pump & Kit by Collin Jackson

Big improvement - go back to new or better!

Although this pump is nowhere near the size of my original pump (the original pump is 20% larger), it was easy to modify and adjust to make it work properly. Fuel pumps are not too complicated. So, as long as you're familiar with some basic tools and wiring, almost any similarly shaped pump will do just fine. I had to bend the bottom clamp to keep the pump at the right height and then use a large hose clamp to make sure it didn't go anywhere. I've had luck with the pump outlet tube as it's a relatively snug fit, with a matching o-ring in the hanger receptacle (hanger outlet tube) and 3/4" of the included fuel hose as a gasket to hold it in place. I was able to cut off the receiver and also just use the fuel hose and clamps. I decided to solder the 12 volt power wire to a 12 gauge wire and a relay with a manual switch so I could unplug it from a hidden spot next to the dash could if i wanted to.best part about this replacement was my stock 1990 Eagle Talon(1G463T),Tsi,AWD now accelerates like stock or better.I noticed that when you were in 3rd gear (manual) and off started to accelerate rapidly at slower speeds, the moment of turbo lag was accompanied by a slight stutter, and with the new fuel pump, the transition from low power to turbo lag was much smoother r and even faster thanks to improved acceleration. This 25-year-old production car feels a little faster and more like new.
