Not waterproof if adapter needs to be covered
Took a week to short out and died. The adapter was also hidden under a covered socket for outdoor use. I wouldn't call it "waterproof" if you have a reference where "the power adapter is NOT waterproof, please protect the power adapter from water!" I have another outdoor light that is waterproof and works great after rain . I find this to be best for indoor lighting, but NOT for outdoor lighting if you're worried about it not being "waterproof".
