Love the Lyx they are great when every inch above/behind your board or hardware counts

So these are great cables absolutely everything is fine with them great sound quality and a very reasonable price. My absolute favorite is probably another company, but they cost at least four times as much and have fewer XLR options. So if you are absolutely on a budget look no further, I doubt anyone will notice the difference. Like every Lyx XLR cable I've used, they're clearly well insulated but not overly stiff (although that can sometimes be a bad thing, only if you don't know you need to be careful. Don't twist the cable, but that's actually the standard for any audio cable.rigidity is the main reason my favorite cable is more expensive but when you start adding devices you can't have $10 a foot cables even if they are long.obviously short ones are coming Cables close to that because they' I pay most for plugs - and they're good. I don't think they're really neutral, but they might even look like it and I'm not entirely sure. If you go to 20' -30' coming lyx really is an amazing price they have some advantages over my favorite lyx setup they have the lowest profile and take up less space so if you are trying to save space like behind or above a blender It's definitely an advantage. Also, extending the ports by 3 feet or whatever you choose can be useful in places where hiding behind devices is difficult. That's why I'm a fan of these. Still, the Lyx squares are my favorite of them. It's really just design knowledge as I can't hear a difference, but I use more of these on longer runs and connect them to 90 degree Lyx adapters (great too). This reduces unnecessary extra cables in my opinion, but it only works because I have space behind the mixer. These cables come in handy when space is tight. I would 100% recommend these and any Lyx XLR cables I've come across, whether as a case for specific situations or for your main setup. What you don't realize from the start is that bundles of appliance cables are a waste of time - the cheapest and noisiest cables. For this reason I have many unopened. If you can, buy your gear bulk - it's never a bargain, you'll get that kind of stuff anyway. Also, 3' is perfect if you're using a separate preamp, whether it's under the mixer or on the side, they're usually close together and it's a great way to connect with a very low mixer profile.
