I've tried various HomeKit devices over the last few years and finally settled on the Aqara system. Along with the Smart Hub, I also bought an Aqara Mini Switch. Adding the switch to my HomeKit ecosystem literally took less than 30 seconds between the time I opened the box and the time the switch was integrated into the Home app. True to its name, the mini switch is thin and small (but not too small), and the button doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. It can have up to three different assignments (single tap, double tap, or press and hold) depending on the controller, and programming is very easy, both in the Aqara app and the Apple Home app. The mini switch is great for devices where there is no or no wall switch nearby; I use mine as an extra light switch in my bedroom. Yes, I can use the Home app, but there's nothing quite like a little button on my bedside table when I want to turn off all the lights ASAP! So far so good, I'm very happy with the Aqara devices - very quick setup, full HomeKit compatibility and just what I was looking for!
