This TV mount appears to be quite solid and is not difficult to assemble. However, as others have pointed out, the instructions are terrible. Only pictures. It seems that this TV mount is only suitable for ceiling studs that run vertically. My studs are horizontal so I had to find another way to attach this stand to my ceiling. It was very difficult. First I tried to join a thick piece of wood connecting two bolts as shown in the picture. It didn't feel very stable and the TV wasn't level. I added some chains on the sides in case the mount came loose. Finally I went to the hardware store and bought some steel rods as shown in the picture. They seem much more durable, but I still have chains in case of an earthquake. I'm trying to attach photos of both attempts at installation.
