I've been using it for many years and I've never had any problems. I have a DisplayPort to USB 3 adapter that plugs into a USB3 slot and when I really need more USB slots I have a USB3 4 port adapter that works great with it. You need to connect a DVI and a DisplayPort to get dual monitors or it won't work (e.g. if you connect 2 DVI or 2 DisplayPort). All regular USBs work fine and there are 6 of them. VGA works great too. So if you want you can use DVI, DisplayPort and VGA to set up 3 monitors, but I recommend going fully digital and using a USB3, DVI and DisplayPort adapter.
