Review on Travel Berkey Filter Filters Fluoride by Carol Miller

We have had our Travel Berkey for almost 9 months now and are generally very happy with it. Well we didn't pay for the water analysis so I think we can trust it to do what it's supposed to do. I can say that the taste of the water has improved. One problem we've had recently is fluoride filters (we bought both the standard/black and fluoride/white filters) failing. According to Berka, they are designed to work for 2,000 gallons. We're not big water drinkers, so we probably only drank around 500-700 gallons. Berkey stated that the filters are covered by a 6 month warranty, but since that period has expired our only option is to buy new ones. It's disappointing that these things don't come cheap, and part of what sold us the system was their claim that the filters would last X gallons.
