This was my second order for a great value Met-Rx Creamy Vanilla pack. I had no issues with my first order a few months ago, but this order had issues with packaging and product damage. When I opened the box I noticed layers of plastic flying out and landing on my skin. At first I didn't pay much attention until I started opening the package they came in. Layers of plastic were melted on top of the jars, and a mucous membrane formed on the lids of the jars. It appeared that the plastic on the lid of the jar and the side walls had melted. The cans were also glued to the cardboard base of the packaging and had to be torn off. One may leak due to cracks and kinks in the aluminum. I very much doubt Met-Rx would allow a package to leave its properties in this state. Here in California, we get 100 degrees every day, so I guess that played an important role, but it was still frustrating having to scrub each can with a sponge to remove plastic and debris. I hope this can be avoided for future customers. I'm hesitant to drink the product due to the obvious issues, but I don't think any of the packaging ended up in one of the unopened cans.
