Love the design. However, this applies to filters with smaller pumps. Also another reviewer said his Aquaclear 110 works great. Let me clarify the situation. It does NOT match the Aquaclear 110 at all! The device comes with a 1/2" and 3/4" adapter. The Aquaclear 110's intake stem is 1 inch in diameter. So it's impossible to install it without going to the hardware store for a PVC fitting for modification. Nevertheless, once connected, the Aquaclear pump is too powerful. the top of the suction rod and drastically reduces the flow of the filter, which I don't think is good for the pump. The pipe diameter of this device is 1/2 inch, which cannot pump enough water fast enough. Even if the accessory ports on this device are fully open, it still cannot pump enough water through the 1/2 inch hose to satisfy the high-speed pump. This can work well for small filters. Overall disappointed.
