Review on πŸ”ͺ Versatile Sharpening Whetstone by WEIMY: Multi-Purpose Knife Sharpener by Zach Peterson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Too good for ax work, but good for pocket knives.

This type of washer is commonly used to repair ax or hatchet blades. The grit of this stone is too fine for general use when sharpening an ax or axe, although when combined with a fine file it can work well as an additional tool to enhance the blade. However, it is a good combo for sharpening a pocket knife. I generally like rough stone (see photo) for working with an axe. Another observation - I can't say for sure, but I think it's actually a waterstone and not a whetstone. Waterstones cut very quickly and should be soaked in water briefly before use. They wear out quickly and need to be updated regularly.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Slightly dented
