I had to revise a 4 star rating (below) to a nearly 2 star rating BECAUSE this is not the product I previously purchased! The diameter of the hole you put the rod through is completely different from earring to earring. Not only that, they broke a bit when I took the earrings off! The piece of metal that sits in silicone just came loose and stayed on the shank of my earring. When it first happened I thought it was an accident. But then it happened again with another pair of earrings and (obviously) a whole pair of them. I almost broke the shank of a very high quality earring just trying to get a piece of Bokken, that was notched and that I didn't want to put through my ear piercing. So IGNORE my previous review below. I will NEVER buy them again! I really don't like the butterfly backs that go with most earrings. They are either too small to be easily manipulated (or not lost) or must be placed very precisely in order for them to snap or screw in properly. I ordered a medium size and found that they are perfect for even the smallest studs or the largest earrings. This shape is easy to hold and use, and helps you get a feel for which end to put on the rack.
