I only received this item yesterday. Due to extreme necessity I had to install it immediately. The very first thing I did after reading other reviews was I went to the hardware store to buy longer mounting screws, about eight inches longer or so. But make no mistake, ask or look for a Phillips head screw. After all, who has been looking for the perfect dainty metric Allen key for a long time. Make sure to use the rubber pad that came with the unit, if you don't there's a good chance it'll slip off, which can cause oversteer when trying to recover. This has happened to me twice since I've been using these devices. Therefore, please note that the most dangerous factor in using a twist grip is the possibility of excessive steering. In addition, these devices are amazing. A few years ago I lost the ability to use my left hand but without this device I would not be able to drive my car safely. Be patient, be careful and good luck.
