Review on BK500 Dirt Bike Wheel Chock - Enhanced Lock and Load for Optimal Performance by Joel Mosqueda

Great MX option but not a complete solution

I have a Suzuki DRZ400S. I first tried the Harbor Freight motorcycle pad and while it worked I felt it was too wide for the MX tires and sent it back. It costs twice as much but fits the MX wheel much better, so I decided to give it a try. ADVANTAGES: 1) Easily mounts to a trailer, in fact has the same 4 hole pattern as the HF wheel chock. 2) Orange wheel chock can be taken with you. if necessary, remove with 2 simple screws. Great for extra trailer space when not towing the bike. 3) The wheel strap connects easily and keeps the wheel in place. CONS: 1) The bike still needs extra strap support on either side to hold it up. There is no way I would acknowledge this as a general solution as they suggest. Combine this with those clamps (Bike BIderz or similar) that hold the bike to the footpegs and you have a fast and reliable system. Or just rear left/right straps) Over a hundred it's not bad and comes with everything you need to install it through a 2" (actually 1.5") thick trailer deck. Looks nice too!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Exchange possible
