Review on 🔋 Brand New Xantrex Prowatt SW2000 2000W True Sinewave Inverter Model #806-1220 - Enhanced Power Efficiency for All Your Needs by Douglas Holla

We had the 1000 watt version of the ProWatt SW for two years and liked it but decided to replace it with a more powerful 2000 watt block (actually 1800 continuous watts) so we could use our coffee maker and microwave when camping overnight (dry camping without a plug) in our Montana. I installed it on our lithium battery pack with master switch and 250 amp switch using about 4 feet of 3/0 wire. I tested by running our 8 cup coffee maker and although my Trimetric battery monitor showed it drawing about 111 amps from the batteries, the 250 amp switch kept tripping. I switched the switch to a different brand and it still worked. I contacted Xantrex customer service and they advised not to use a breaker. They said they had seen several problems with breakers tripping well below their rating and recommended I use a 250 amp Type T fuse. I unplugged the circuit breaker and successfully ran the coffee maker three times in a row for 8 cups. It consumed 1365 W (76% of the rated continuous load of the inverter). I have now ordered a T fuse box and a 250 amp fuse.
