Great for beginners! A great way to learn to sew!

Words cannot describe how much I love this book. I am a sewing teacher and first introduced this curriculum to my students when they were 8 years old. My daughter and another student chose this book to sew their dolls. The patterns are accurate, at least for my daughter's AGD. and her friend's 18 inch dolls. The instructions are clear and concise, as are the prep and tips to get you started. The method of explaining steps with illustrations allows young children to test themselves while learning. Variety through trimmings, decorative stitches and choice of fabric to make the sewing experience even more fun! Since I also sew with my daughter outside of class, I also sewed some designs at Doll along with some of Erin's designs. days. Each was a pleasure without disappointment. My daughter only improved her skills because of the few projects she made from this book. And I love how the design models the kind of modesty I taught my daughter about clothing. The variety of models on offer and their quantity, the price is phenomenal! We've done 7 of these so far, and each had less than a quarter fat tissue. Because this book doesn't cover intermediate and prep/attachments, after the fabric you'll need thread, sensor tape, and elastic, as well as a regular sewing kit (which Erin clearly describes at the beginning of the book). For a limited budget. For lovers of 18 inch dolls this book is a must. If doll clothes cost more than human clothes, you should learn how to sew them yourself!
