This chair is MUCH better than you think given the price and photos! I bought this for my makeshift home office and it goes perfectly with this desk! The base of the seat is much wider than most chairs, giving you the option of sitting across if you prefer. The velvet looks high-quality and by no means cheap! It's firm, but not so hard that it's uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The legs are more of a copper color. not gold at all. Only thing I have to say is that it sits a little lower than your standard dining chair. So if you have a problem with it you can have it measured to make sure you are happy with the height. I recommend this to everyone!
