I bought two double bed skirts for my twin daughters. I was so busy that I just unpacked one and put it on one of my daughter's beds. It was difficult to put on. It would be nice if there was a picture of exactly how it should fit as it is confusing. there is no piece of fabric for the ruffle to hang from. Either way, it's a good thing because the mattress doesn't detach from the bed like it would if a piece of microfiber was attached to it with a ruffle. Why don't people use cotton anymore? Two elastics go across the bed and it's open (meaning there are no ruffles at the top of the bed where the pillows go). Elastic wants to go where he wants. The first was easier to put on than the second. I went ahead and put on a second one because I waited so long to decide if I wanted to keep the bed skirts that I missed the opportunity to return both bed skirts. Don't buy if you don't like the constant challenge.
