The connector panel at the end of the device can be a problem. I used a set of crimp connectors and an old spare 3-wire computer power plug and cord for the 120VAC side. Cut off the end of the calculator, strip the insulation and attach the 3 ring or fork crimp contacts to the gear tray in the designated location. There isn't much free space on the mounting plate, so choose your crimp connectors carefully. The speed of the fan depends on the load, so light loads (low power consumption) are relatively quiet. Heavy loads can be noisy. Place the device in a location that can provide sufficient cooling air, but away from a location where you do not want to hear it. Set the voltage regulation before starting and monitor the voltage at the heaviest load to ensure adequate regulation over the entire load range.
