Our 2013 Mustang Vinyl Convertible Top needed a gentle treatment when we brought it home from the dealer. We first cleaned with a soft bristle brush and AmorAll all-purpose cleaner. Then I rinsed, dried and used several other brands of UV protection sprays and wipes. Every few weeks. The upper has a nice sheen and is water repellent. However it didn't look great (just good) so I tried this Black Top Gel and WOW. The improvement came immediately. A week after application we hosed down the top thoroughly, let it dry and reapplied. It's been 3 months of SW heat with the sun rising and falling and it looks like we only applied this BlackTop Gel yesterday. I think one trick with any car detailing is to be thorough and then reapply shortly after to create a good layer of protection. Our car is outside in the shade or under a canopy. We expect a double coat of BlackTop Gel to protect and look good for a year before applying anything else (maybe a light UV sealer if the black still looks good). The bottle is still 1/3 full, so 1/3 of the bottle was needed for each application.
