I don't have a filter to breathe when I'm not in the car, but apparently I need a filter for the same air when I'm in the Automobile. Jokes aside, yes it does catch junk and depending on how long you go between switching it can look pretty intimidating. I usually go for the cheapest filter with decent ratings when it comes to air and/or cabin filters. I don't care if it filters 99.99999% or 99.96% or some variation of what the boxes normally state. As long as it doesn't fall apart, it will do the trick. I have bought them several times and they are a good product. They are also easy to replace.
