Save Money on Cabin Air Filter

Auto repair shops charge a lot of money to replace cabin air filters. Yes, it was difficult to figure out how to lower the glove box (by pressing the top sides towards the center). Then I did not realize that it is enough to pull out the old one without bothering with the locking mechanisms. Took less than 10 minutes. He probably saved himself $50. If I can understand it, so can you.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • No Instructions

Perfect fit for my 2017 Subaru Forester

Great cabin filter. It took 15 minutes to install with the instruction video from Youtube. I'm not good at installing cabin filters, but it's not that hard if you watch videos online. It's definitely worth saving $60-70 a year by watching a 3 minute video multiple times. Cannot distinguish OEM from new. The quality was top notch.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Air Purifier (Filter)

These filters are rarely sold commercially and dealer prices are high. This product is a replica of an OEM filter, the price is low and my dealer is almost 40 miles away. Clear instructions made it easy to change the filter. I will be ordering another one to have on hand if this one can be replaced and will order from the same supplier due to quick response and good price.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

2015 Subaru WRX in cabin air filter

Perfect for my 2015 Subaru WRX and perfect for the OEM unit. The stock filter was surprisingly dirty after only 1 year / 13,000 miles. Will be adding this to my list of replacement items every 6 months. Much cheaper alternative than OEM. Don't let the merchant charge their ridiculous fees to replace this for you. It takes less than 10 minutes and requires no tools or acrobatics - the hardest part is emptying the glove box (which is easy).

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Useless features

Good business! for air filter and accessories

I can't find any big differences to the original part. HUGE savings over dealer price - and very easy to replace with a 2014/15 Forester. Dealer price "starts" at $79 (no further questions asked). Simply open the glove box door behind the latches by pressing on the sides and pulling out the rubber latches. As long as you can get on your knees to see where it's going - it's a no-brainer - and blaming the dealer is just stealing.

  • Positive only

It filters the air I breathe

I don't have a filter to breathe when I'm not in the car, but apparently I need a filter for the same air when I'm in the Automobile. Jokes aside, yes it does catch junk and depending on how long you go between switching it can look pretty intimidating. I usually go for the cheapest filter with decent ratings when it comes to air and/or cabin filters. I don't care if it filters 99.99999% or 99.96% or some variation of what the boxes normally state. As long as it doesn't fall apart, it will do…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great OEM cabin air filter for your Crosstrek!

I installed this on my Subaru Crosstrek a few months ago and I can tell a difference in the air quality every time I turn on the fan (AC or heat). After neglecting the air filter in the car for two and a half years, I had the great idea of looking into the cabin filter when replacing the radio in the summer. I'm very glad I did. It was blackened, covered in dust and leaves, and smelled of dusty damp filter. Before installing this new filter, I carefully sprayed/lightly coated the entire filter…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • No form required

High quality air filter!

After personally making some YouTube videos I figured DIY projects for my car would save me a lot of money because Subaru was going to charge me about $50 to replace it and the filter was about $20! Auto parts store and bought an aftermarket and replaced it very easily for less than $20! Fast forward to purchasing this filter, I read that the filter mesh is thicker than a bunch of other aftermarket stuff. Not remembering what brand I bought from Autozone, I compared the filter mesh and found…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not Everything Fits
