After the cable worked, my main concern was that it would work with Android Auto. My Kenwood head unit supports Bluetooth audio, but all Android Auto features require a wired connection. This cable is great for that. I can also connect it to my computer and transfer files just like with a standard (non-magnetic) USB-C cable. I also appreciate that each cable comes with two connectors (USB-C and Micro-USB) so I can use the cables interchangeably with different devices. The magnet was stronger. In the car or in bed, it's easy to touch the cable and it will disconnect. I'm pretty sure it can't be done better, and I doubt other cables do it better. The plug probably needs to be bigger to fit the larger magnet and that wouldn't be good. However, if you're the kind of person who swings your phone while it's charging, be prepared to be more careful. (On the downside, the easy unplugging is good as it's almost impossible to damage the phone or cable, and also means you can "unplug" it with one hand, just by pulling the phone out and disconnecting disconnected.) The LED on the phone end of the cable is great. Makes searching in the dark easier and confirms that the cable is connected to a power source. Even at almost triple what I usually pay for USB-C cables, they're worth it. In fact I will buy more. (Note, as mentioned in other questions/reviews, if you have an iPhone/iPad with a Lightning connector, you'll need to look for one with that connector. It's USB-C/Micro-USB only.)
