Very soft. I would use every inch of my paint but works well for badges, tight spots and wheels. I'm impressed with how good they are, the plastic seems well made and the same goes for the brushes! I used wooden brushes, which I used to like, but the wooden brushes seem to get moldy easily. Avoid them and buy ones with a plastic handle.
