We have been using Crest rotary toothbrushes for years and although they wear out after a few years they are reliable. I haven't seen the Crest brand as I needed new ones but these arm and hammer looked the same but I was very wrong. Outside of the package, one was slower than expected and the other will spin until it touches my teeth. I thought they just needed new batteries but changing the batteries didn't help. The slow lasted a couple of days with minimal power and when I went to change the batteries again after two days of use the battery compartment was full of water and dirt from toothpaste so obviously the seals weren't working. So far this has never been an issue with the Crest brand but they are probably made in the same factory so I think I'll buy one of the Oral B or Water pik rechargeable models. It was a waste of money!
