I'm so in love with this. I was skeptical at first but I saw a video someone posted and decided to give it a try. Flame is going crazy. They look like real flames. I worry about patterns in sonic machines and I was concerned that I might trace the pattern back to the flame, but it hasn't happened yet, so that's a positive thing. I use it every night and I love that I can use it all year round. The atmosphere is really nice. My fireplace is in a large open room with vaulted ceilings, so I don't feel much heat unless I get near the fireplace, but I can't rule out that it helps keep the room cool. And when I sit in front of him, I definitely feel it. In a small room, this would probably be a decent heat source. As other people have said you can see the plastic screen but with the screen in front of the fireplace I hardly notice it and it's so beautiful I don't care. The cord is a little short, it only went to the nearest outlet, not sure if an extension would be a good idea, so I'm glad. I ended up buying a charcoal rug elsewhere and it looks great at night. Connects to your device with one click and you're done. The way they put out heat forces air onto the charcoal mat and it gets very hot, but I suspect they took that into account in the design so it could handle the heat. Just take a look.
