Review on Apexstone 45N/10lb 10 inch Gas Struts - Set of 4 – Premium Lift Support for Smooth Lid Stay & Support by Michael Baird

This is the 4th one I've replaced. The originals I had with my original openers were destroyed by the wind. These replacement parts are not as high quality as the originals. The base is just a pressed fork. The first set I bought burst under pressure. Substitutes burned out in the same way. The originals that came with bottle openers had the ends of the cylinder rolled up so they couldn't blow out the cork. I even bought some hydraulic jacks for each window to help with the lifting power so these things don't work hard at all. Next thing I know my entire greenhouse is covered in oil when the cork pops back out. Absolute rubbish! I even bought from 2 different vendors thinking I would get a different one from the 2nd vendor. No, crap again. Now I'm looking for ones with the end twisted around the fork.
