Review on πŸ”Š AOSHIKE TPA3116 100W Subwoofer Amplifier Board: Small Power Amp for Video & Audio Accessories by Elizabeth Esquivel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well, more power can work better.

I am using this board as a temporary replacement for the board that came with an old powered subwoofer that failed. Plug it into a 12-inch subwoofer and a 19V laptop power supply and it definitely fills the low end that speakers alone can't manage, but the sounds lack punch and are a bit ambiguous. However, it is impressive. What a small board can do and I'm sure it could do better with more power. Another reviewer said that this actually happened when they used a desktop PSU that runs at 12V instead of 19V, but it can consistently deliver more power even though my PSU is rated for a power-hungry gaming laptop and could deliver 120 W, maybe that wasn't enough? While it's pretty clear to look at, just know that you won't be using speaker level inputs like you might on some subwoofer boards, it's strictly a 3.5mm input (line level of course) as well 3 pins which are the same but just an alternative to using a 3.5mm plug. Make sure you can fit this into your audio system; former. For an audio receiver, make sure you have a subwoofer preamp output and the necessary cables to connect it to the 3.5mm jack.
