Best $15 amp ever

I hooked it up to a basic 19 volt power supply I had. I soldered an RCA jack to the included pigtail. Easy. I hooked it up to my burned out subwoofer with two 6" Bose subwoofers and it started booming! It's only 60 watts and already sounds WAY better than the Cambridge Soundworks 10 bass cube it replaced (didn't get loud enough). .Just take a look ;)

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • makes me mad

Great little subwoofer amp!

Awesome Subwoofer Amp Board! Very good quality circuit board. A good amount of power coming out of this small package. Additional holes on the bottom for soldering the power input wires (in case you want to install permanently and don't want to worry about screw terminals). Built-in power indicator. Additional holes on the board to add a second external LED power indicator. Doesn't get hot for 30 minutes, even at 24 V at a 2.5 ohm load. Please watch my full video on this on YouTube channel…

Keep unusable subwoofer

This Dell HK595 PC subwoofer was $5 at the retail store but was missing the satellite speakers needed to operate. So I ripped out the subwoofer and left only the power supply (replacing the filter caps) and added a DC-DC buck converter ($5.69) to tame the power of this subwoofer. At first it buzzed until I grounded the DC side with my power amp chassis. At 18 volts it adds just the right amount of bass to a pair of Infinity RS4000 speakers I'm renovating. All together maybe 25€. This one seemed

review dated 07/27/20 On closer inspection I found the capacitor was installed with reversed polarity which caused it to explode. especially power supply. If you buy this item, please check it carefully as there seems to be no pre-sale test bench. I've found more than one place where solder has been used to connect the contact point, intentionally or not. I'm very glad that when the force was applied, it was directed away from my face. I like to see with both eyes.

  • Definitely a bad product

Great amp for small subwoofers

I use this amp to drive some tactile transducers in the cockpit of my racing simulator. I suspect it will put out around 40 or 50 watts RMS into 4 ohms with no noticeable distortion. The low-pass filter is adjustable, so you can customize it to suit your needs. Sit outside, run cool. It's very small, so I'm planning to install it under my seat. It should be noted that it takes a stereo signal and internally sums it to mono. I fed it a mono signal with just one end of the stereo cable and it…

Delivers shocking results! (not literal)

So I bought this board on a whim. I was trying to build a DIY 12 inch subwoofer for my home audio system. I got all the components for $80. This guy has a 24 volt power supply, an MTX subwoofer, and this board. I have a subwoofer hooked up and it has a 4 ohm load, 5 amp 24 volt power supply and my home theater subwoofer output is a mono RCA jack. The subwoofer is 200W RMS so the best I can hope for from this little guy is 100W. It took me by surprise. I turned this unit up to full volume and…

Works well, more power can work better.

I am using this board as a temporary replacement for the board that came with an old powered subwoofer that failed. Plug it into a 12-inch subwoofer and a 19V laptop power supply and it definitely fills the low end that speakers alone can't manage, but the sounds lack punch and are a bit ambiguous. However, it is impressive. What a small board can do and I'm sure it could do better with more power. Another reviewer said that this actually happened when they used a desktop PSU that runs at 12V…

It still works after a year of abuse

sounds great, filter works great. I've been using it at 2 ohms for about a month now and haven't blown it yet. The description says 2 ohms but the back of the board says 3-8 ohms and the tpa 3116d datasheet says 3 ohms but it holds and I leave it on at near full volume for 8 hours a day at work. It runs on 24V and is really battery efficient. I've gone through many small tpa 3116d amplifier boards and this is the best I've had to date and the first to work as advertised when it explodes. I'll…

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • useless features

I use these in my driving sim and originally bought them because I was using the game's sound as a source for haptic feedback. pushing the sound through a pair of Dayton TT-25 Pucks and a Buttkicker Concert Mini. You can tell by what they can do at low RPM with the kicker applied that they have great bass and you MUST use a subwoofer amp when using this setting as you want to filter out the higher noise. I was very happy with the result and they are more than capable of driving 2 ohm mini…
