We have a 2002 Yukon XL that we use for hiking but due to its age it doesn't have the built in inverter like many new SUVs. I routed a line from the fuse box and hardwired it to this inverter which gave me two 110V outlets as well as two USB 2.1A ports. This is convenient for long trips when you need to connect and charge small devices (300W). Now our laptops can be charged while driving instead of waiting to arrive at the campsite. The inverter has screw terminals for connection to the supplied cables and has a built-in fan to cool the unit (the fan is silent).
