I'm a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer who performs routine site surveys for various commercial buildings. Until now, it has always been difficult to document existing pipe dimensions! The product is ideal for measuring existing pipelines. I find the black color option better when it comes to reading tube sizes. I like the sharp edges to cut through the insulation and move the caliper to measure the nominal diameter of the pipe. 4 stars because the aluminum is not that thick and is bent a few times. I try to keep my notebook in my notebook so it doesn't collapse in my research backpack.
