
Mi mini did not do well in the loo, so I took a replacement with me. This one gets strong reception on both the 5 and 2.4 GHz bands in the loo. Inadequately switching to 2.4 when it is not necessary is a major flaw in the conventional firmware that uses a single access point for 5 and 2.4. A distinct range for 2.4 and 5, everything is connected, everything works; I flashed the firmware on the padavan (see the 4pda discussion about this). I programmed mi mini to restart every three days at five in the morning, and for two years I didn't touch it once. If expanding your router's coverage is a top priority, you can take the device there. I endured two hours of pain until the flashes made it even better.
