This is without a doubt the best coffee maker I have ever had. The coffee brews quickly and is very hot, so you can add milk, cream, etc. and still have a hot cup of coffee. When I first got the system, I wasn't quite used to the bun and the brew switch on the fill connector. So I inevitably got wet when I lowered the lid before the coffee and carafe were in place. You will do it exactly ONCE and believe me you will learn your lesson. The Bunn comes with a high-flow wand, so it can brew coffee very quickly. However, if you like a stronger cup of coffee, simply call Bunn Customer Service and they will send you a lower flow nozzle free of charge. The low flow head is also very useful if you roast coffee at home like I do. Freshly roasted coffee can "bloom” and high pressure exacerbates this condition. The low flow pressure solved all the problems, just taking a little longer to fill a full tank. The heads unscrew easily and can be swapped out in less than 1 minute. * Bunn should contain both heads - that's my only recommendation. As for altitude, we're at about 5,400 feet and every other coffee maker we've tried brewed cold coffee (and we've tried a lot of them!). A dash of milk/squeak and it's all in the microwave. The Höhenbunn makes a wonderfully hot cup of coffee, which can be filled with a good portion of milk or cream. Bunn's customer service is nothing short of outstanding and was, shall we say, far more helpful than the "K" manufacturer, which I'm fed up with and disappointed in their lack of response. Best coffee maker for $$ period!
