This is an exact replacement for a 1996 Jeep Cherokee which means it will also fit earlier years. Quick Installation, Installation Note: Install from the inside of the vehicle to the end under the hood, push the grommet through the firewall from the inside of the vehicle until you can grab the other end under the hood, and pull until it snaps into the firewall. Also, the original retainers for my brake cable were Torx, so make sure you have the kit. A simple install took less than an hour, and the only disappointment was having to use a cutting disc to cut through the plastic to get to the original cable end to pop the hood.
