We recently encountered a situation where we wanted to transfer video from my son's GoPro camera to one of our laptops, including a MacBook Pro with only USB-C ports and an older MacBook Air with only traditional USB ports. This adapter is perfect. Answer. We used it to extract video from a microSD card in his GoPro, images from an SD card in our Canon DSLR, and video from a drone. The reader worked fine with all of these memory cards and seemed to transfer at a good speed (I didn't rate it, but it seemed fast enough).
